The Eskis
are on a role and Paul Gagner and company wasn't about to end it
just quite yet. The match up was well balanced and overtime was
needed to determine a winner.
Abitibi got on the board first in the opening frame with a
goal scored by Russel Morin. In the second period, Brenden
Biedermann scored a pair a goals to
give his team the lead.
Eskis' Brent Wesley, scored the lone goal in the third to tie the
game at 2. The game winner came from Matt Brunet at 4:45 of the
overtime period.
Despite being out shot in all three periods, the Kal Tire Sudbury
Junior Wolves' Alain Valiquette had a stellar performance in goal
stopping 42 of 45 shots for the loss while Miles Williams for the
Abitibi Eskimos got the win stopping 28 of 30 shots
