North Bay couldn't restrain the Jr Wolves' offense as the Jr Wolves
skated to a 4 - 2 victory Wednesday evening at the McClelland Arena
in front of approx 300 fans.
With three teams trailing the Jr Wolves by 1 point for first spot in
the NOJHL, the win gave the Wolves a little breathing space.
The Jr Wolves came out of the gate blasting and
completed the first frame leading 3 zip and never looked back. The
Skyhawks, managed only 2 goals on Jr Wolves net minder Alain
Valiquette who stopped 23 of 25 shots. Scoring for the Jr Wolves
were Jesse Graham, Brenden Biedermann, Matt Chiupka and Scott
Lavigne. Assists went to Brenden Biedermann, Jordan Cheechoo, Jesse
Graham, Mike Andrighetti and Jessie Howg. Scoring for the Skyhawks
were Justin Roy and Jon Drake. Assists went to Adam Cook, Hubert Genereux, Matt Bell and
Josh Diamond. Ian Wilson went the distance in net for the
Hawks.
The Jr
Wolves will visit the Manitoulin Islanders on Friday Oct 20th at the
Howland Rec. Centre in Little Current.
