The fans at
the Blind River Community Centre were well entertained tonight as
they witnessed one of the better played games in the NOJHL thus far
this season. End to end action kept a near sellout crowd on the edge
of their seats. The Junior Wolves edged past the Beavers by a score
of 3 - 2.
Blind
River got on the board first in the opening frame with an unassisted
goal scored by Jeremy Hilliard. Jordan Cheechoo and Jesse Graham
gave their team the lead by scoring two goals in the second period.
Both teams each scored one goal in the third, Jesse Graham with his
second of the contest for the Wolves and Anthony Libonati for the
Beavers
Stellar
performances was given by both goaltenders. Darren Rowlandson
stopping 39 of 41 shots and Andre Laperriere stopping 31
of 34.
The Jr
Wolves will host the red hot Abitibi Eskimos on Wednesday November
15th at the
McClelland Arena in Copper Cliff. Puck drops at 7:30pm
